Project: Marine Remote Sensing Survey from Surf-line to Three Miles State Limit for Fiber Optic Placement Corridors for Jacksonville, FL; Tybee Island, GA; Folly Beach, SC; and Myrtle Beach, SC
M-AT was contracted by Applied Technology Management, Inc to conduct four (4) near-shore surveys for proposed high speed fiber optic cable routes in the Southeast United States. A multiphase investigation was designed to provide pertinent data to characterize and evaluate the seabed as well as underlying sub-bottom stratigraphy and cultural resources. The investigations included a high resolution sub-bottom, magnetometer, side scan sonar, and hydrographic surveys developed to support state and federal permitting, design, and construction activities. The work was part of communication routes proposed by Asset Channel GlobalLink Submarine Cable network.
